The Steering Committee is a permanent advisory body of consultation with social, economic and manufacturing realities. Its function is to evaluate the quality and the validity of the School educational offering in relation to the needs of the job market and to propose a plan for improvement. The composition of the Committee ensures the presence of competences and expertise complementary and consistent with the objectives of the School Degree programmes.
The Committee is convened and coordinated by the President of the School and formally meets at least once a year.
The Steering Committee was established during the School Board meeting held on the 29th February 2016. As proposed by the Presidents of the Degree programmes, members with relevant positions in the institutional and cultural world, entrepreneurship and freelance work, have been designated. The Steering Committee was composed by the following members:
- Gloria Abagnale (councillor, XIII Senate permanent Commission Secretary, in charge of the Evaluation of Public Policies);
- Laura Bini (President of the Social Workers Association);
- Fabrizio Barca (MEF General manager);
- Roberto Cecchi (former Secretary-General of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities);
- Gianluca Corsi (Manager at Monte dei Paschi);
- Mario Curia (Publisher, founder and president of the “Mandragora” Publishing Company);
- Monica Degl’Innocenti (Secretary-General of CESIFIN “Alberto Predieri” Foundation);
- Marco Del Panta (Diplomat);
- Giorgio Giovannetti (Journalist, co-director of “GR Parlamento”);
- Silvia Givone (entrepreneur, Founder of the “Sociolab” agency);
- Alessandro Licitra (Social works Manager for the Municipality of Florence);
- Stefan Neuhaus (Manager of Tenuta Castelfalfi – TUI Touristik Union International);
- Mauro Quercioli (Manager at Monte dei Paschi);
- Filippo Salvi (Entrepreneur, President of ‘Stabilimento Poligrafico Fiorentino’, President of ‘Scuola di scienze aziendali);
- Giulio Sapelli (Professor in Economic History at ’Università degli Studi di Milano’, President and research coordinator at ENI “Enrico Mattei” foundation)
- Paolo Sorrentino (President, Gilbarco Srl);
- Paolo Testa (Head of ANCI Research Department).
Afterwards, two additional members were designated:
- Ludovico Arte (school principal at ITT Marco Polo Firenze);
- Lapo Pistelli (Executive Vice-President for the ‘Strategic Analysis for Business Development Support’ at Eni).
