The course deals with social policies at the Council local level, as transformed by recent Laws and describes the main actors involved in the welfare effort of the 20 big Councils of the capital cities of Italian Regions from the point of view of a family policy they are requested to formulate by Law 328/00. This allows to build analytic instruments to read the mix of measures and services offered by each Council unitarily and identifies indicators to be applied in other contexts too.
