The course aims at discussing and analysing the process of economic European integration. Main topics: developments in markets integration at the micro level, trade in Europe and abroad; the macroeconomics of European integration: monetary and fiscal policies after the recent economic crisis; the EU budget and reforming proposals.
The textbook for this course is Baldwin-Wyplosz (2015), The Economics of European Integration, Fifth Edition, Mc-Graw Hill.
This textbook is the main reference for the course which will be integrated by other materials (papers, reports, articles, institutional documents). This material will be used during the course and made available on the e-learning page of the course.
