L’Indian Istitute of Technology, situato nella città di Chennai (Madras), è considerata una delle università più prestigiose dell’India e dell’intera Asia.
L’università è caratterizzata da un altissimo livello didattico e da eccellenti strutture adibite  a soddisfare tutte le necessità e le esigenze degli studenti. La frequenza alle lezioni è obbligatoria e viene usata quasi solo la lingua inglese, dentro e fuori dalla classe. Infatti, dal momento che esistono più di 100 idiomi ufficiali gli stessi studenti lo preferiscono per capirsi meglio.

II semestre: metà gennaio-metà maggio

ENROLMENT/ATTENDANCE FEES TO BE PAID BY VISITING STUDENTS
Tuition fee is waived. Institute fee, Accommodation and meal fee is to be paid on arrival
INSURANCE INFORMATION
Student Medical Insurance is mandatory for students to pay here. It is a nominal amount of Rs.600 for one semester and Rs.1250 for one whole year
HOUSING
Hostel accommodation is provided on availability in the campus
VISA INFORMATION
All students applying for course work, project work or internships must come under the Student Visa and PhD scholars must come under the Research Visa

Credit system: un’ora di lezione a settimana corrisponde ad un esame di 1 credito. Più ore di corso a settimana

equivalgono a più crediti per esame. E’ possibile acquisire al massimo 60 crediti per anno accademico, cioè 30 crediti per semestre
